Hello! If you are living in America and want to help Ethiopian students learn English, we welcome you to join our program. Please sign up here to get started.
As a tutor, you are in charge of how your lessons run. The lesson plans are provided as a guide, and your main goal is to ensure that your student can successfully complete all of the “I Can” statements for each lesson and learns the necessary vocabulary.
You have full responsibility for your student’s learning, which means you do not need to ask us whether your student can move on to the next lesson. However, it is important that each lesson is covered thoroughly and that your student is confident with the material before moving forward.
Program Timeline:
Each lesson is designed to take about 3 weeks.
Each learning pathway (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) should take roughly 4 months.
Overall, the program may last up to one year, depending on your student’s pace.
Tips for Tutors:
Use the lesson plans flexibly — adapt activities to fit your student’s interests and needs.
Focus on conversational practice and real-life usage, not just memorization.
Encourage your student to practice vocabulary and “I Can” statements regularly.
Keep sessions interactive and positive; patience and encouragement are key.
Thank you for dedicating your time and skills to help Ethiopian students improve their English. Your guidance can make a real difference!
